The Existing House:

Narrative
The Smith family house was built in Darien, Connecticut and overlooked the Long Island Sound from the Connecticut coast. The original house was designed in 1965 by the architect Richard Meier. The Smith Family requests an addition to their home more open spaces. The family loves spending time watching movies and playing board games. Mr. Smith’s son, Christian who is a priest would like to have a chapel in order to celebrate mass with his family and friends. The structure will remain the same through the addition, along with the circulation and open and closed concepts.
