In this project, we are to base the design following the concept that forms follow function. Our bridge design was inspired in three types of bridges; Arch, Cable Stay, and Cantilever. The challenge in this design is to add the function of movement to a static body and modify the “body” of the static bridge to follow the new mechanic or dynamic function. The new dynamic bridge will open in order to allow for a 30’ x 40’ object to pass through.
